Melt. Candles is a family-run New Zealand business offering handmade candles and fragrance products.
All prices on our website are in New Zealand dollars (NZD) and include GST unless stated otherwise.
We reserve the right to update, change, or replace any part of these Terms at any time. The latest version will always be available on our website.
2. Orders and Payments
Orders are accepted through our website at https://meltfragrances.co.nz.
Full payment is required at the time of purchase.
Payments are securely processed via trusted third-party payment providers. We do not store your full credit card details.
We reserve the right to cancel or refuse an order for any reason, including suspected fraud or if products are unavailable.
3. Pricing and Availability
We make every effort to ensure product descriptions and prices are accurate.
If an error occurs (for example, an incorrect price or out-of-stock product), we may cancel or adjust your order after notifying you.
Prices and product availability are subject to change without notice.
4. Shipping and Delivery
We deliver within New Zealand using reputable courier services.
Shipping times may vary depending on your location and courier delays.
Once your order has been shipped, you’ll receive a confirmation email.
We are not responsible for delays caused by postal or courier services, natural events, or other factors beyond our control.
5. Returns and Refunds
At Melt. every candle is hand-poured with love and care, and because we only make in small batches quality control is a very high standard of ours.
Because we are a small business, we do not accept returns. However, your experience matters deeply to us, and we want you to love your candle and your candle experience with us.
If your candle gets damaged in any way during shipping, please don’t hesitate to reach out. We kindly ask that you send us a photo of the damage within 3 days of delivery. We’ll happily offer a replacement or store credit, depending on the situation.
If your jar cracks during burning, please stop using the candle immediately and send us photos of the damage. We take this seriously and would love the opportunity to look into what happened and offer a replacement if appropriate.
If there’s any other issue with your candle and you're unsatisfied for any reason, we’d truly appreciate the opportunity to hear about it and make it right. We care about your experience and will gladly consider a replacement or other solution.

6. Product Care and Safety
Our candles are made from high-quality materials, but they must be used safely.
By purchasing and using our products, you agree to follow all candle safety guidelines, including:
Never leave a burning candle unattended.
Keep candles away from flammable materials, children, and pets.
Always burn candles on a heat-resistant, stable surface.
Trim wicks before each use to avoid large flames or smoke.
Stop burning when only 1–2 cm of wax remains.
Failure to follow these instructions may result in injury, fire, or property damage.
Melt. Candles is not responsible for damage or injury resulting from misuse, negligence, or failure to follow proper candle safety practices.

You may not copy, reproduce, or use our content without written permission.
